Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Goalsays that the company has introduced a new WhatsApp feature with the ability to share your screen during video calls.
AT3 Resources, a consulting firm that runs Meta in Nigeria, said Zuckerberg made the announcement on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
He said the latest update gave users the ability to share their screens in real time during conversations.
According to Meta, by clicking the designated ‘Share’ icon, users can choose to share a specific app or their entire screen.
He said this feature opened up a variety of possibilities, from collaborating on work documents to browsing through photos with the family, planning trips, shopping online with friends, or providing tech support for grandparents.
He said screen sharing adds a dynamic dimension to calls by allowing users to provide a live view of their screen content during conversations.
“This feature is particularly useful for both personal and professional scenarios.
“In addition, WhatsApp users can now enjoy video calls in landscape mode on smartphones.
“This enhancement offers a broader and more immersive viewing and sharing experience during video calls,” he said.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the platform initially introduced video calling for its users in November 2016.

Since then, the platform has constantly added features to improve the user experience and meet ever-evolving communication needs.
Additionally, WhatsApp is rolling out message editing support for captioned media on iOS devices.
This feature allows users to edit messages that include media, offering a greater level of control over their communication. (YAYA)
