A Nigerian woman, Opeyemi, who fled Ukraine in 2022 during the Russian invasion is celebrating as she becomes a medical doctor.
Opeyemi was among tens of thousands of refugees including women and children, who crossed into Romania and other countries bordering Ukraine as Russia’s war intensified and casualties mounted.
She shared a photo of herself at the border with other refugees, writing: “Me in 2022, Me in 2024, literally”
In a post dated November 22, she wrote: 2022, a refugee. 2024, A licensed medical doctor. Look at God.
