Residents of Kogi State appear satisfied with the manhunt to find the fleeing ex-governor of the Kogi State, Yahaya Bello.
A video showing an aggrieved woman calling out the ex-governor when she saw his convoy has begun to trend.
The virality of the video comes a week after Yahaya was declared wanted by the EFCC for alleged case of money laundering to the tune of N80.2bn.
In the video, the woman, identified as a civil servant, exclaimed, “Yahaya Bello armed robber, Yahaha Bello thief, 7 years no salary, Tinubu where are you? Arrest Yahaha Bello.”

Recall that prior to the end of his tenure, the fleeing ex-governor who goes by the nickname, White Lion, had announced that aside from his known residence in Kogi State and Abuja, he lives in a territory where he described as the ‘Lion’s Den’.
Also, in a video dated back to 2023 presidential election period, Yahaya Bello revealed that his main residence is the ‘Lions Den’ in Kogi State.
On X, the virality of the video has caught the attention of Nigerians, with many tagging the EFCC to it amid the search for him.
Meanwhile, a former Senator from Kogi State, Dino Melaye has expressed his satisfaction with the arrest warrant against Bello.
In a video he released after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declared Yahaya wanted for offences relating to economic and financial crimes, Dino could be seen mocking the embattled ex-governor with a song.
Dino could also be seen singing and dancing in the video after declaring that he knew this day will come.
Yahaya Bello’s arrest notice from the EFCC read, “The public is hereby notified that Yahaya Adoza Bello (former Governor of Kogi State), whose photograph appears above is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in connection with alleged case of Money Laundering to the tune of N80,246,470,089.88
“Bello, a 48-year-old Ebira man, is a native of Okenne Local Government of Kogi State.
“His last known address is: 9, Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja.”
The notice asked anybody with useful information about the former governor’s whereabouts to contact any of the commission’s offices across the country. CONTINUE READING
