Award-winning Nigerian musician, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has made headlines once again online over his recent visit to Uganda.
It can be recalled that Davido held a concert, TimelessKampala, recently has the East African country, warming many hearts with his classic performance.
During his stay, The DMW boss was also honored with the privilege of launching the Faculty of Music and Arts at the International University of East Africa (IUEA) in Kampala, Uganda.
The announcement was met with immense excitement from his global fanbase, as the news was shared on various social media platforms.
In an elaborate ceremony hosted at the university, Davido received a special award prominently displaying his name, “Davido”, inscribed boldly on it.
Beneath his name, the word “Hall” was engraved, symbolizing the dedication of a newly constructed hall in his honor on the university campus.
Davido didn’t just stop at the hall dedication; he also extended the university’s academic offerings by launching the Faculty of Music and Arts.
He was spotted cutting the ceremonial ribbon attached to a board showcasing the new faculty’s name, marking the official start of the program.
