He alleged that allowing too many cement companies could result in adulteration of the product, highlighting a potential downside to excessive market competition.
He underscored the need for additional cement industries but he highlighted the challenges of having necessary resources for their establishment and optimal functionality.
He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”We need more cement industries but what about the resources to put the thing in place? And for them to work optimally. You see, even in nature and in every businesses, some people will have to cut a niche and they tend to occupy the whole market.
And you tend to refer to it as monopoly. But the monopoly has it own good side too because there is employment and there is the reduction in proliferation of businesses. If you allow too many cement companies to come in, there will be adulteration of cement.”READ FULL CONTENT
