Fubara, Wike & Omehia.
News reaching Lagos Reporters has it that the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Sim Fubara has defiled former Governor, Nyesom Wike’s decision and reinstated former Governor of the state, Sir Celestine Omehia who was de-recognized as a former Governor in the heat of the 2023 presidential election.
You would recall that the former Governor of Rivers State, now the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister during the 2023 presidential election campaigns, de-recognized Sir Celestine Omehia, ordering his portrait removed from the government house as a former Governor of the state for supporting the presidential candidate of his then party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Wike went further to order a stop to statutory payments made to former Governors of the state as pension but all that has changed now with the current governor, Sim Fubara promising to pay in full, all his entitlements since that event happened.
We believe that Sim Fubara decided not to inherit Nyesom Wike’s enemies and so, is making his own friends by himself, which is a fantastic and noble idea.
