There have been several reactions from social media users after photos of the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Gregory Obi at the 70th birthday celebration of TV presenter, Bimbo Oloyode surfaced online.
The pictures were shared on the official X handle of Peter Obi on Friday.
After sharing photos of the event on his page, Peter Obi said he was happy that Bimbo Oloyode used her 70th birthday celebration as a platform for fund raising for cancer research.
In the post that the former governor of Anambra state made on his page, he commended and appreciated Oloyode for her contributions.
He wrote on his page;
“As a TV Presenter of almost 50 years, Bimbo is a household name, who has contributed immeasurably to the growth of media practice in Nigeria, leveraging on her wealth of experience and exposure in the industry. I was particularly happy that she used her 70th birthday celebration as a platform for fund raising for cancer research, diagnosis and treatment in public hospitals. The target was to raise N100 million for this purpose”.
