Actor Yul Edochie finds himself entangled in legal battles as he vehemently denies being married to Judy Austin, whom he referred to as his ‘second wife,’ amid a lawsuit filed against him by his ex-wife, May Edochie, according to Vanguard.
Addressing the court, Yul clarified that his association with Judy Austin solely revolves around skit-making and does not constitute a legally recognized marriage.
Yul’s stance surfaced during ongoing proceedings at the FCT High Court in Abuja, which encountered an unexpected setback when the scheduled session on March 5 failed to proceed, a situation Yul and Judy took credit for.
Emeka Ugwuonye, leading May’s legal team from Due Process Advocates, conveyed that Yul had submitted a petition stating, “That since the news of the birth of Star in June 2021, Gistlover, as a negative blog that thrives in fake and manipulated information for financial gains, has been negatively exploiting every movie or skit featuring me and Judy and generating social media traffic for financial gains.”
In response to May’s petition alleging a traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra State, Yul refuted the claim, attributing it to misinformation propagated by a blogsite seeking financial gain.
