Bashir Ahmad, a former social media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed concern about the current strategy of officials in the Bola Tinubu-led administration. Ahmad believes that highlighting the previous administration’s faults could be detrimental to the unity of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He suggested that a more nuanced approach would be more effective in supporting the party.

Ahmad pointed out that the opposition, particularly the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), appeared to have a more skillful strategy. He cited instances where past PDP administrations avoided publicly criticizing their predecessors. Ahmad recommended building upon the previous administration’s achievements while discreetly addressing its failures.

According to Ahmad, the current approach might provide opportunities for the opposition to undermine the government’s initiatives. He argued that the government should focus on acknowledging the previous administration’s accomplishments, rather than amplifying its faults. Ahmad believes that this approach would promote unity within the ruling party.

Ahmad also stressed the importance of supporting President Tinubu’s policies. He noted that the opposition would always find a way to undermine the government’s initiatives. Therefore, the ruling party should focus on defensive strategies to allow the government to continue delivering its best for the country.
