Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has received a chieftaincy title for his heroics at the just concluded African Cup Of Nations (AFCON), which say Nigeria finish second after a 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast, the host nation.
As reported by Punch, the traditional ruler of Mgbede community in Egbema Kingdom, Rivers State, Nzeobi Amida, conferred upon the goalkeeper the title of Ugo Egbema “The Pride of Egbema Kingdom.”
The traditional ruler declared that this title was in recognition of the pride the goalkeeper brought to Rivers State in general, and the Egbema kingdom in particular.
This is in addition to the other rewards and recognitions the Super Eagles team has been receiving from various public office holders and individuals across the country.
It may interest you to know that Mr Nwabali also received ₦20 million naira from Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the executive governor of Rivers State, as well as the honour of Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS).
