A Nigerian human rights activist and the AAC presidential candidate during the 2023 presidential election, Mr Omoyele Sowore, has disclosed that he arrived at the Federal High Court Abuja, for the continuation of his trial, but the federal government said they are not ready, claiming that the last prosecutor has been transferred out of the Ministry of Justice.
Speaking further, Mr Sowore noted that their lawyers argued strongly that the Judge should discard the case, but the judge adjourned the case after warning that he would discard the case if the federal government is not ready.
Mr Omoyele Sowore made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Wednesday morning, shortly after the court proceedings.
He wrote: “We were at the Federal High Court in Abuja today in furtherance of #RevolutionNow #ShamTrial by the Nigerian government, we arrived court ready for trial but as typical of the FGN they said they’re not ready, claiming the last prosecutor has been transferred out of the Ministry of (In)Justice.
“Again, our lawyers argued strongly that Judge discard of the case but the judge adjourned again after “warning” he would dismiss the case if they are not ready! Remember it was the same threat last time!”
