The media office has issued a clarification that Daniel Bwala is not a former aide of Atiku.

The media office of Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, has released a statement clarifying the role of Daniel Bwala in their campaign organisation. The statement explains that Bwala served as a spokesperson for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation during the 2023 elections and was not a former aide to the ex-vice president, as previously believed.

The statement further clarifies that Bwala offered his services and support to the campaign organisation as a spokesperson and held the position during the last presidential campaign. However, after the election, the need for a campaign spokesperson ended, and Bwala has since moved on with his career.

The media office urges the public to desist from defining Bwala as an ex-aide of Atiku Abubakar and recognize him by his current vocation and alliance. It is worth noting that Bwala, who was once a critic of Tinubu, has visited the President twice since his election victory in February 2023.
