At the event, which was attended by various prominent figures such as Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Malam Nuhu Ribadu, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Isa Ali Pantami, and former governors and senators, the Sultan was represented by Alhaji Yayale Ahmed, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
During his speech, the Sultan referenced the Holy Qur’an, stating that those who deviate from the worship of God will not receive divine intervention. He also urged Nigerians to genuinely supplicate for relief from their hardships, emphasizing that the Lord has promised that after hardship, there will be relief.
Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, the Chairman of the Council of Scholars of JIBWIS, expanded on the call for moral rectitude, urging judges to avoid corruption and public officeholders to uphold truthfulness and transparency in carrying out their duties.
