Popular Nigerian actor, comedian, and brand influencer, Williams Uchemba, has taken to social media to express his thoughts on the current economic situation in the country.
In a recent video shared on his official Instagram page, Williams voiced his concerns about the state of affairs in Nigeria, emphasizing that the economic conditions are dire and unsustainable. He highlighted that even traders are reluctant to sell goods due to the unstable market.

I’ve witnessed traders hesitant to sell; they’re sad and scared to do business because prices fluctuate rapidly.
A product sold for ₦1200 can suddenly become ₦1500, resulting in losses.”
He further lamented the rising costs associated with traditional weddings, citing exorbitant bills of up to ₦30 million for basic ceremonies. “Even love is costly now,” he remarked, drawing parallels with the volatility of crude oil prices.
Williams also addressed comparisons made about Nigeria’s oil prices, questioning the adequacy of the country’s minimum wage in relation to other nations.
