Senator Tinubu underscored the potential of 2024, envisioning it as a year marked by peace, progress, and prosperity for all Nigerians.
She praised the Governors’ Wives for their dedication to her pet project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), urging them to persist in aiding the vulnerable within their respective states.
Acknowledging the prevailing hardships, she reassured attendees that the adversity was temporary and would eventually dissipate. Senator Tinubu reiterated that the RHI, aligned with President Tinubu’s administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed to ameliorate the current situation.
She disclosed plans for the Women Agricultural Support Programme (WASP) under the RHI, which would empower 20 farmers from five states in the South East Zone with N500,000 each. Additionally, the National Agricultural Land Development Authority, in collaboration with the RHI, would provide training, capacity building, and agricultural inputs to 80 female farmers from each state.
Senator Tinubu’s remarks emphasized collective efforts and resilience during challenging times, highlighting the RHI’s commitment to bolstering agricultural productivity and uplifting vulnerable communities nationwide.
She said:
“Women Agricultural Support Programme (WASP), under RHI, will empower 20 farmers each, from five states in the South East Zone.
“These farmers will get N500,000 each and a total draft of N10m will be given to five RHI states’ coordinators as the case may be.
