Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent figure in the Labour Party (LP), In a post via his official X (Twitter) handle on Monday, has expressed vehement discontent over the prevailing hardship in Nigeria, asserting that it was not the choice of the electorate.

As the spokesperson for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Okonkwo pointed fingers at corrupt INEC officials, holding them accountable for the pervasive hunger and suffering experienced by citizens nationwide. He went further to denounce these officials as perpetrators who have facilitated the entrenchment of corruption within the electoral process, thereby exacerbating the plight of ordinary Nigerians.
“Nigerians did not vote for this level of hardship,” Okonkwo reiterated,
emphasizing the disconnect between the electorate’s aspirations and the realities they face. He called upon divine intervention, urging for repercussions against those responsible for manipulating electoral outcomes to the detriment of the populace.
The impassioned remarks by Okonkwo underscore the growing frustration among segments of the population regarding the state of affairs in Nigeria. They reflect broader concerns about electoral integrity and the implications of political malpractice on the welfare of citizens.
He wrote,
“Nigerians did not vote for this level of hardship. This hardship is technically glitched on us by INEC. O’ God multiply hardship and sufferings on INEC officials that have ever rigged elections in Nigeria. They are thieves that have enthroned fellow thieves to inflict pains on us.”
