The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Nigeria (AMEN), Father Ejike Mbaka, has once again sparked reactions with his statement about the current insecurity challenges and economic hardship in the country.
Mbaka said that there is hunger in the country, and urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to tackle the hardship facing the people.
He said that God has blessed President Tinubu with wealth, and that he is not like some other politicians who almost took drastic decisions with their lives after losing election because they used all they had for the election.
According to the report by Sahara Reporters, he said, “I know that this man that has come to be President of the country, if he submits himself to God, with enough willpower, God has blessed him in wealth. He has not come as a beggar like many politicians who failed the election.”
Speaking further, he said, “Jagaban is not a poor man; so he can do something extraordinary; do it the other way round; shock all these people who are criminals; devise a policy that will bring security, bring joy to the Nigerian people and you will see there will begin to be a meaningful transformation.”
Mbaka lamented the number of security operatives that have been lost to bandits and Boko Haram, and questioned how many more citizens would be buried because of insecurity.
He said that there is heartbreak everywhere, and asked what the hope is for the youths. He said that what the youths need empowerment and support, and expressed optimism that Nigeria will one day be better than China.
