Tottenham ‘send scouts to watch Georges Mikautadze’

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly sent scouts to keep an eye on Metz and Georgia attacker Georges Mikautadze.The 22-year-old spent seven years in the Lyon academy between 2008 and 2015 but left without making a single first-team appearance for Les Gones.Two years after his departure from the Groupama Stadium, Mikautadze signed up to the Metz academy and has progressed through the ranks to make 45 appearances for Les Grenats in all tournaments.In that time, Mikautadze has registered an eye-catching 26 goals and 10 assists, winning the Ligue 2 Golden Boot last season with 23 strikes to his name – in addition to eight assists – as Metz returned to the top flight at the first time of asking.

Sheffield United are reportedly interested in taking Manchester City youngster James McAtee on loan for the campaign, with the player keen on a move to Bramall Lane.The 20-year-old spent the 2022-23 season on loan with the Blades, helping the club gain promotion to the Premier League under the stewardship of Paul Heckingbottom.McAtee featured in 37 matches for United as they finished second behind Burnley – starting 21 of those games – scoring nine goals and providing three assists.The attacking midfielder has been a regular for the Premier League champions’ youth teams over the past four years, while also earning call-ups for England at Under-21 level.

Udinese striker Beto has reportedly travelled to Merseyside in order to complete a move to Everton.The Portuguese striker started in his side’s 3-0 defeat to Juventus last weekend, but is not in the squad that has travelled south to face Salernitana on Monday evening.The Athletic claims that the 25-year-old flew into the UK on Sunday morning to undertake his medical.There will be hopes the club can finalise a deal as soon as possible, with Everton in EFL Cup action this midweek, before facing Sheffield United at the weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly lodged an improved offer for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani.The French champions are already thought to have fallen short with one offer for the former Nantes man, as Frankfurt turned down a €70m (£60.1m) approach.Luis Enrique’s side have already made significant attacking additions this summer, bringing in Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele and Marco Asensio following Lionel Messi and Neymar’s exits.PSG are also set to retain Kylian Mbappe’s services for at least another year, and the French attacker is back with the main squad following a brief exile amid his contract stand-off.

Manchester United reportedly plan to reject West Ham United’s latest bid for out-of-favour centre-back Harry Maguire.The Irons are believed to have resumed talks over a deal for the former Red Devils captain, having seen a £30m transfer break down earlier this month.With Maguire needing to accept a £70,000-a-week pay cut in order to move to the London Stadium – where he would pocket £120,000 in weekly wages – he is thought to be demanding a sizeable payoff from Man United.The 30-year-old’s contract at the Theatre of Dreams runs for another two seasons, and Man United’s first offer of a £6m payoff was allegedly deemed insufficient by Maguire, who wants a larger sum to leave the club.

Isaac Hayden is reportedly expected to complete a medical at Luton Town on Monday ahead of a season-long loan from Champions League-bound Newcastle United.The 28-year-old has found himself on the fringes of Eddie Howe’s squad over the last year, not featuring for the Magpies in the Premier League for the entirety of the 2022-23 term.Hayden was loaned out to Championship outfit Norwich City as he looked for first-team football, however the midfielder made just nine starts during an injury-riddled time at Carrow Road.The former Arsenal youngster has featured 171 times for the North-East giants since moving from Hull City in the summer of 2016, scoring seven times over a seven-year period.

Bayern Munich propose McTominay, Gravenberch swap with Man United?

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in the loan signing of Manchester United’s Scott McTominay, with the Bavarians prepared to offer Ryan Gravenberch as part of a swap deal.The 26-year-old Scotsman is currently out of favour at Old Trafford, playing just seven minutes of Premier League football in his side’s opening three matches of the season.Since graduating from the club’s academy in December 2016, McTominay has featured on 211 occasions for the Red Devils, scoring 19 goals during a challenging period for United.The midfielder is an integral part of his national side, having made 41 appearances for Scotland since making his debut in March 2018, scoring five goals in four European Championship qualifiers this calendar year.

Tottenham are reportedly expected to launch a bid for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson in the closing stages of this summer’s transfer window.The attacker was a key part of Steve Cooper’s side who retained their Premier League status last term following a 20-year absence from the top flight of English football.Johnson scored eight goals and provided three assists in 38 league appearances, representing a consistent threat in a Forest outfit which experienced a lot of changes over the course of the campaign.The 22-year-old is also starting to become an integral part of his national side, having earned 20 caps for Wales since making his debut in August 2020.

Arsenal defender Rob Holding is reportedly attracting interest from a number of clubs in Spain with days left in this summer’s transfer window.The 27-year-old has been on the fringes of Mikel Arteta’s preferred XI over the past two seasons, starting just six Premier League matches in the 2022-23 term.Holding has been kept on the bench by the likes of William Saliba and Gabriel in recent times, although the centre-back did find himself featuring in vital games last season, including the 4-1 loss at Manchester City in April.The former Bury man has made 162 appearances for the Gunners since making the switch from Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2016, scoring five goals during that seven-year period.

Transfer rumours: Baleba to Brighton, Ekitike to Brentford, Fresneda to Sporting

Brighton & Hove Albion have apparently reached a full agreement to sign Lille midfielder Carlos Baleba.The Seagulls had identified the 19-year-old as their number one target to replace Moises Caicedo following the Ecuadorian’s transfer to Chelsea in a British-record deal.Brighton were supposedly facing competition from Liverpool to bring Baleba to the Premier League, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the teenager is heading for the Amex.Romano states that Brighton will pay up to €30m (£25.8m) for Baleba, who will leave Lille for an initial €27m (£23.2m), and the French club will also retain a sell-on clause.
