The Ekiti State Police Command (ESPC) has paraded one Alhaji Baboga, for his alleged involvement in the killing of two traditional rulers in Ikole Local Government Area of the State on last week Monday.
According to Vanguard, on Monday, February 5, 2024, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in Ekiti, Dare Ogundare, disclosed that a joint effort of security agencies led to the suspect’s arrest in the forest between Ayedun and Ayebode.
Baboga has reportedly confessed to the crime, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend his accomplices.
During a press conference, Baboga confirmed his involvement in the killing of the two traditional rulers, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation. The Ekiti community awaits further updates as law enforcement continues to work towards justice.
Recall, on Monday, January 29, 2024, gunmen suspected to be herdsmen reportedly assassinated two traditional rulers, the Onimojo of Imojo, Oba Olatunde Olusola and the Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin.
