Arsenal legend Ian Wright has hit out at Jamie Gallagher following his comments after the club’s 3-1 Premier League win over Liverpool on Sunday.
The Gunners made it three league wins on the bounce after a fine performance against the Reds. They dominated the proceedings with seven shots on target compared to Liverpool’s one.
Jurgen Klopp’s side never looked like scoring in the game. Their only goal came via a defensive mishap from the Gunners which contributed to Gabriel Magalhaes’ unfortunate own goal.
Following the victory, the Gunners celebrated the result with the fans. Martin Odegaard also had a fond moment with the club’s long-time photographer Stuart MacFarlane.
The Norwegian took a picture of MacFarlane which did not go well with Carragher. He did not like the antics and said that Arsenal players should have gone into the tunnel.
In response, Wright has hit out with a social media post where he highlighted the criticism of Odegaard taking a picture of MacFarlane. He added to question the unwarranted reaction from pundits.
“Why’s everybody trying to kill the joy? Don’t kill the joy! As soon as Arsenal do anything, they just come on & pile on. Don’t let them spoil the joy,” He said in the video.
