In spite of the early difficulties, Prince Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, reportedly told the Sun that it is too soon to determine whether President Tinubu’s tenure will be successful.
He underlined that his top priority is for President Tinubu to be successful and that he would rather to be proven incorrect about his forecasts than to have to listen to people bemoaning the lack of warning.
“The path of Tinubu’s presidency has not begun,” he declared. I won’t say that they are leaving the office, but what you see happening to them and around them is something that is happening to them.
My greatest hope is for Tinubu to succeed, so I’m rather worried. After four years, I want Nigerians to look at me and say, “You told us this man will not succeed, but he has succeeded. I will apologise.”
I don’t want to be correct about Tinubu’s failure. It is preferable than them moaning about my warnings.
