This initiative, managed by SGSAH and funded by the British Council, aims to facilitate international collaborative research endeavors between Ph.D. and early career researchersScottish higher education institutions, academic mentors in Scotland and overseas organisations.
The primary goal of the program is to emphasize the importance of the environment arts and humanities, as well as the broader artistic and cultural sphere, in addressing the urgent climate crisis. It focuses on their potential for interdisciplinary investigations within the framework of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).
Through this initiative, opportunities for research and global mobility will be enhanced, leading to the development of innovative approaches aimed at addressing the global challenges posed by the climate emergency. In addition, the program seeks to encourage sustainable research and facilitate cultural exchange within and outside the fields of the arts, humanities, and culture.

Eligibility for a land grant
Open to Doctoral and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) enrolled or graduated from any university outside the UK and working in the environmental arts and humanities to come to Scotland to work with an academic mentor and access the networks and resources of a host higher education institution (the Higher Education Institute) in the year 2024.
All applicants must be currently enrolled in a Ph.D., or have graduated with a Ph.D., which falls broadly within the arts and humanities subject areas. this thread The regions are detailed by AHRC. Research proposals must also fall within the arts and humanities subject areas. For an interdisciplinary PhD degree, at least 50% of the project must fall within the disciplines of Arts and Humanities. The program strongly encourages proposals for research projects that have interdisciplinary approaches beyond the arts and humanities.
For the purposes of the programme, ECRs must be within one year of notification of the award of a PhD (in exceptional circumstances this can be extended to two years).
