Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu will miss the festive fixtures due to a calf injury and is unlikely to feature again for the North London club this year.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the news yesterday and the Japan international has taken to Instagram to share his frustrations with his fitness problems.
Tomiyasu went down holding his calf in the 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, and scans have confirmed he will be out of action for a while.
“I’m sick of being injured,” the Arsenal star posted.
“But I believe this is the opportunity to be much stronger.”
