The recipe I’m about to share will help you make a gentle facial scrub that cleanses your skin and stimulates its renewal, without being too harsh. Do you remember the childhood days spent playing and having fun? One of the things we enjoyed was the fragrant bowl of rice pudding.

Today, I have a beauty recipe inspired by that delicious dessert, which will remind us of our childhood and make us feel wonder and surprise again. This scrub is very easy to make at home with just a few ingredients, including rice, milk, and oat flour that you can obtain by blending oat flakes.

To make the scrub, you need to pour two tablespoons of well-rinsed and drained rice into a small saucepan, cover it with five parts water, and bring it to a boil. Then, simmer until the rice is cooked but still firm. Once cooled, mix the rice with two tablespoons of oat flour and enough milk to get a spreadable paste. Apply the mixture to your clean skin, massage gently for a couple of minutes, then remove it with a cloth and rinse your face. The scrub can be stored in the fridge for no more than 48 hours.

The scrub gently removes the dead skin cells and stimulates cell renewal, leaving your skin smoother and more radiant. The al dente rice exfoliates gently while providing emollient, soothing, and anti-inflammatory properties. Oat flour, on the other hand, has anti-aging properties, counteracts skin inflammation and photoaging, and is prebiotic, which supports the skin microbiota. Finally, milk helps cleanse the skin and has soothing and healing properties.
