Senator Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, arrived in Beijing, China today to attend the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Forum on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
According to Lagos Reporters, Shettima received a warm welcome at the airport by a high-level delegation of Chinese officials, which included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress.
The purpose of the Vice President’s diplomatic mission is to represent Nigeria’s interests at the BRI Forum, where world leaders will gather to discuss and deliberate on the theme, “High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation: Together for Common Development and Prosperity.”
