Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has recently been in the news for receiving a title from an Islamic foundation. Being the wife of the wealthy Yoruba filmmaker, Adekaz, she enjoys the perks of being a Muslim and a celebrity. The recognition comes a few months after she converted to Islam through her marriage to her husband, Kazeem Adeoti (also known as Adekaz).

Popular Nigerian actress, Mercy Aigbe, took to her Instagram page to share a flier announcing that she has been given the title of ‘Arowoshadinni’ by an Islamic foundation. This title means ‘one who has the means to support religion’. In her caption, she encouraged her followers to refer to her by this title.

She captioned the post:

“Let me Re-Introduce myself Hajia Minnah Anulouwapo Mercy Adeoti ( Arowoshadinni ) ❤️So henceforth kindly add Arowoshadinni to my name ❤️Big Thank you to ABD AZEEZ ISLAMIC FOUNDATION for this honour! “
