Antonio Conte wants the Manchester United job, according to Calcio Mercato.
The former Italy head coach has managed Chelsea and Tottenham in the Premier League before.
He has been out of work since his contract at Napoli was ended in June 2026.
Michael Carrick is under growing pressure at Old Trafford.
United have not won any of their last five games and sit 13th in the league.
Conte reportedly believes he is ready for a fresh challenge in England and is positioning himself to take over from Carrick.
