A ten-year-old girl who was k!dn@pped from her home in Jada, Adamawa State, has been found safe in neighbouring Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area.
Ummi Jafar was taken by unknown persons from Jada LGA but police launched a swift search operation after the abduction was reported.
The child was discovered abandoned at Mararaba Mbilla in Mayo-Belwa LGA.
She was immediately taken to a medical facility for examination and discharged after doctors confirmed she was physically unharmed.
The girl is currently under police care while investigations continue.
The Adamawa State Police Command’s spokesperson confirmed that efforts are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible for the k!dn@pping.
The command assured the public that all persons connected to the crime will be arrested and prosecuted once the investigation concludes.
